An “interdisciplinary” program may be interpreted as either being all-round or not being professional enough, which was once my concern as a new EVMT student. But now, I no longer worry about this. EVMT trains both our soft skills and environmental knowhow, equipping us to address society’s increasing demand for professionals bridging the technical personnel and the business sectors. We take required courses of various disciplines, and electives according to our interests and career goals. EVMT allows us to broaden our exposure to the field through site visits, field trips, internship opportunities, exchange programs and other opportunities, on top of textbook knowledge. Thanks to the small cohort size, I can experience and benefit from the close bond among my peers, seniors and professors in the EVMT family.
