I still remember the day when my parents told me environmental studies is not a professional career and I should instead pick something like accounting, but the professional field within sustainability has expanded so rapidly within the past 4 years that I am proud to say that I have made the right decision in joining EVMT.
While our studies cover multiple bases on Corporate Sustainability, Environmental Engineering and even Business Studies, which is great, but to me, the value of EVMT truly lies in the interpersonal skills that I’ve refined during the program. Even during COVID, we were constantly invited to join networking events and sustainability conferences, challenging us to break out of our comfort zones and establish our profession network. With the sustainability industry being such a tight knit community, having built these connections has definitely proved useful during job hunting or even in corporate collaborations!
While we all joined EVMT for our passion for sustainability, we stayed for the “Culture”! Your batch mates might just become your closest friends and your professors may just become your mentor. All in all, I’m proud to say I’m from this amazing family of EVMT, and we welcome you with open arms~
